New Artwork of the Day: Vine-Ripe Tomatoes

April 10, 2007 at 6:00 am 2 comments

One of the nicest things about living in the Bay Area is shopping for fresh produce at neighborhood farmers’ markets.

It’s not tomato season yet, but this acrylic painting by Nancy McCrone made me long for those warmer days ahead when those juicy beauties will be at their peak of flavor.

Based in Southern Pennsylvania, Nancy creates landscapes and portraits in pastels and acrylic. Visit her Artist Rising gallery to see more.

This reminds me of growing up in the South. We always had huge gardens and lots of tomatoes and these look good enough to eat!
